Do you ever played as a kid with water ? Long time ago did I.
As an artist i feel the need of many people around the world for peacefull moment. So i came back to this creek again to record this so familiar and natural sound. “Sweet dip” begin to born. I added a melody played on my rav drum, with the intention to bring joy for listeners, whatever the age or the moment. A rain stick symbolised the rain, gift of the nature to bring water on earth.
As i did for the single “Flow up”, i asked a talented artist to collaborate for the cover. This time it is Beatrice Bignon that created the illustration of “Sweet dip”. My project “Art links people” is going further each time.

Avez-vous déjà joué avec de l’eau dans votre enfance ? Je le fis il y a longtemps.
En tant qu’artiste je ressens le besoin de nombreuses personnes autour du monde d’avoir des moments de quiétude. Alors je suis revenu près d’un ruisseau de mon enfance pour enregistrer ses sons familiers et naturels. “Sweet dip” a commencé à naître. J’ai ajouté la musique de mon instrument rav, avec l’intention d’apporter de la joie à l’auditeur, quelque soit son age et le moment de l’écoute. Un baton de pluie symbolise la pluie, cadeau de la nature qui apporte l’eau sur Terre.
De la même façon que pour le morceau “Flow up”, j’ai demandé à une artiste de talent de collaborer à la couverture. Cette fois-ci c’est Beatrice Bignon qui a créé l’illustration de “Sweet dip”. Mon projet “Art links people / l’art relie les gens” va plus loin chaque fois.

Tout commence par un arbre, un arbre extraordinaire qui fait pousser ses racines depuis ses branches. Les racines s’entremêlent dans l’air avant de prendre racine et de se transformer en solides troncs. Cet entrelacement m’inspire pour créer de la musique dont les notes s’entremêlent dans l’air grâce à un ballet croisé de mes mains sur le rav : “Entrelacs” émerge de cette symbiose…

It all starts with a tree, an extraordinary tree that grows its roots from its branches. Roots intermingle in the air before taking root and turning into solid trunks. This interlacing inspires me to create music whose notes intertwine in the air thanks to a ballet crossed with my hands on the rav: “Entrelacs” emerges from this symbiosis…

Todo empieza con un árbol, un árbol extraordinario que hace crecer sus raíces desde sus ramas. Las raíces se entrelazan en el aire antes de echar raíces y convertirse en troncos sólidos. Este entrelazamiento me inspira para crear música cuyas notas se entremezclan en el aire gracias a un ballet cruzado de mis manos sobre el rav: “Entrelacs” emerge de esta simbiosis…

Algiz is a new opus of “ravdrum only” music.
The name Algiz comes from ancient nordic alphabet, the runes.
Algiz means protection, what i want when you are listening to this music it’s feeling safe and cool, under the waves’ protection.
Algiz is probably the first music played on 3 rav drums at the same time by only one musician. It gives depth to a melody rich in harmonics.

The title name is a combination of Hype, Hyper and Rav, because the hype cycle inspired my composition and hyper looks like a full of vibrations !
